    We were living in England, so it had to be 81 or thereabouts.

    I think it's still in the basement somewhere. I wrote some arithmetic drills for my kids for it. On tape.

    •  Clive Sinclair was worshiped as a god... (0+ / 0-) the UK, and his color Sinclair Spectrum is even more beloved than the commodore 64 is over here.  There is still a vibrant programming scene for the ol' speccy, and it boasts the largest software library in the world... and growing daily.  It holds a special place in British hearts.  Sir Clive was knighted by the queen for his work on that machine.
