    We were living in England, so it had to be 81 or thereabouts.

    I think it's still in the basement somewhere. I wrote some arithmetic drills for my kids for it. On tape.

      ...in the UK, and his color Sinclair Spectrum is even more beloved than the commodore 64 is over here.  There is still a vibrant programming scene for the ol' speccy, and it boasts the largest software library in the world... and growing daily.  It holds a special place in British hearts.  Sir Clive was knighted by the queen for his work on that machine.
