As Ipsos said -- Cumulus is looking to replace Rush with their own in-house programming, and Huckabee's show fits that bill.  Ipsos has explained in other diaries how Cumulus prefers to present its own programming rather than buy it elsewhere when they can, and with Rush's high price tag there is aslo a cost-saving incentive for them to try to generate their own programming rather than fork over large sums to Clear Channel.

No nefarious conspiracy - just a company trying to save money and run its own house, even if that means creating competition against  the (not-so) Mighty Rush.

At the end of the day it's about dollars.  No need to create a conspiracy theory when Occam's Razor suggests that Cumulus is doing this for their bottom line.
