    AM is amplitude modulation, which I think means the size or volume varies. And FM is frequency modulation which means how often you hear the thing.

    (Yeah, true, these aren't your customary definitions, but bear with me here.) Which would you rather have The Rush doing - being softer-smaller and bigger-louder? Or getting more and less?

    For those who don't recall, the soup/art dilemma was a Lily Tomlin routine. She'd hold cans of Campbell soup in both hands and ask her audiences what they actually were -  soup cans or Andy Warhol's iconic paintings of those ordinary objects.

    As for The Rush, it's a tough call. Personally, if we have to have him on the air at all, I'd choose less of him and at lower volume.
