    Obesity is malnutrition. It is often as much about eaten poor quality/types of food as it is about over eating.  Many people need not only assistance with obtaining food, but with how to eat in a nutritionally sound way.  There is really no legitimate reason that anyone in our nation is faced with hunger when we spend the amounts that we do on all forms of death and destruction.

    Saying we don't need a food assistance program because obese persons might get some food that they don't need just isn't considering the larger picture.  At least that's the way I see it.
