I am salivating over this map. There are a ton of candidates we could run in any of those 3 districts.

Sen. Eric LaFleur could lock down that teal district rather easily.  His current district is mostly in your 6th.

He'd have to make it out of the primary though against an African American Democrat, probably from BR. My guess would be EBR Mayor-President Kip Holden, who would be very strong as well.

On second glance, EBR is more than half the population of the district, making Kip the favorite in the primary, but not the better general election candidate.

There are a ton of current and former state legislators and parish presidents to run in that northern district as well.

I'd love to see Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover run in your 4th, especially in the version that also includes Monroe (MUN-roe).

One of the two very conservative African American state senators from Shreveport or Ruston would have the best shot in the primary outside of Mayor Glover.

Sen. Francis Thompson would probably the strongest white Democrat, although his home of Delhi is just outside the district. Both Sens. Rick Ward and Eric Lafleur live in parishes just outside your 4th but who represent portions of the southern part of this district.
