  •  Re precise language, why "healthcare?" That's not (2+ / 0-)

what it is. It's for-profit sickness treatment and billing, it's institutionalized cruelty, it's yet another bit of fear-engendering shackles to keep the proles' noses to the grindstone.

I write as a nurse who spends too much of every day trying to "work the system" to get the UNsurance bastards to fund the sickness treatment that the UNsured have paid so well for. Fortunately I work for good doctors, who are generous with their time and talent, and play straight.

But please, please, do not strengthen the fraud by referring to it as "healthcare." That may be what most doctors and nurses and other hands-on caregivers try to do, at the Nightingale Interface with the patients, but the rest of it is just minimizing the Loss Ratio, and giving cover to the folks who reward themselves so nobly off the skimmings from the rest of us.

    Sicko! indeed.

the movie Sicko! was about people who had insurance. Crappy mandated RomneyCare won't fix anything (though the ACA does do some decent things like banning recission).

      Sometimes . . . I feel . . . like a redneck with chopsticks . . . Dreaming of squirrel while I'm sucking down squid . . .
