    to focus on process as you suggest appears to simply be a rejection, or at least sublimation, of the goal-oriented appeal of ethics and an acceptance of character and duty.  For you, intention and inclusion might be big deals while the ultimate outcome is secondary.  An example of this is the party platform creation process, especially for Democrats.  It is virtually impossible for a given candidate to embrace all of the platform elements, but the process inclusion and intentions allow for activists to see their values represented and for candidates to be judged according to their overall intentions to champion their constituents in more general terms rather than specific, line-by-line, representation of party platform that remains always a contested space, by design.
