My adult relatives were kind but pretty clueless.  Not the least because I really didn't tell them.  I recall one time breaking down after my mom refused to fall for the excuses I invented to stay home.

She went to the school, and I sat there while she explained to the administrator about how sensitive I am, blah blah, really embarrassing.  No one got in trouble, I was humiliated, and nothing changed.

I actually mentioned one incident to one of the relatives that went to school with me.  He said he was sorry - he didn't even really remember.  Like it was nothing to him and just crushing to me.  Probably because it happened decade ago and despite all of the weddings and funerals and bar mitzvahs and other occasions I've seen him over the years, I've never mentioned it to him.

The thing about being bullied is that it's so humiliating you don't want to discuss it.  So you hold it in until you explode or cry, and then as I said and you experienced, you get in trouble.

Why is it that a 3% tax increase for the wealthy is considered "socialism" and an 8% wage cut for the middle class is "doing your part"? MartyM
