  •  But they probably have 5 houses as well. So 1 (13+ / 0-)

    for each house.

This whole thing is pretty ridiculous to me.  Ann Romney has no clue what working women in America are forced to deal with.  I was never able to choose to stay at home and raise my 4 sons.  I would have loved to have been able to do so.  It's not Ann's fault that she married a wealthy man.  Kudos to her.  But don't tell me you understand the problems facing working women.  It's insulting.

    •  Exactly. I am not taking (4+ / 0-)

advice from someone who has never had to decide what to put back on the shelf because there are more groceries than cash.

I have friends that have never faced the challenges I have faced, which are partly of my own making because I was never one to take the easier, softer way, but when it comes time to make financial decisions, I tend to listen to people who have had to live without and who have struggled and know what that means.

stayed at home with kids and worked with kids, and both can equally suck if you don't have a good support system.  Yeah, Rosen probably could have phrased her charge against Ann Romney a little differently, but I totally agree with the spirit of what she said.  If you're wealthy enough to employ full-time babysitters/nannies, housekeepers, and gardeners, than even the mom-working-from-home framing is not going to fly.
