      the general population in a prison, they're allowed to strip-search you.  Which totally makes sense, because they have to make sure drugs and weapons aren't being smuggled in.

      Was that guy who brought the lawsuit likely to have been bringing in drugs with him?  No.  Was it a travesty that he was even arrested in the first place?  Yes.

      So it turns out that if you get arrested, you might get thrown in jail before a judge can see you.  It didn't happen to me when I was arrested at an Occupy protest six months ago.  But it could mean that the prison guards might want a strip-search.  Like the Supreme Court said, they have the responsibility to ensure safety.
