here?  Why is it not under seige by catholics everywhere.  Their behavior has rarely been great, but these tweets are beyond the pale. They are hypocritical, hateful and they are doubling down on it.

These people are speaking for you whether you like it or not.  If you are silent. If you are not condemning them and contacting them, your church leaders, your priests and bishops, then you accept their hypocrisy and hateful speech by default and you are painted with it.

I will not respect a single catholic person until the catholic league is shut-down.  This is disgraceful.

Would we be so happy to have a military that dwarfs all others combined if it was a line item deduction on our paychecks next to FICA."

    •  I respect a lot of Catholic people- (7+ / 0-)

including my husband- but I have to agree with much of what you say.
The argument that the Catholic League, or the Conference of Catholic Bishops are somehow "not speaking for me" only holds up if Catholics speak out- loudly and publicly and consistently- and denounce the hate speech coming from their leaders.  Ignoring it just isn't enough anymore.

scandal by telling myself that the Church was not the priest, bishops and Pope.  They run the show and are as power hungry and deviant as any bureaucracy.  The people are the Church, my fellow parishioners and the people doing the actual work of Christ.  I choose to ignore most of what the men of the Church do and say.  I can no longer do it.  They are going to chase me out and I am dropping my relationship with the men of the Church.  I just can't support such a horrible institution.  I can't see the good right now, it is subsumed by the hate and evil.

And she's good at appearing sane, I just want you to know. Winwood/Capaldi

9-11 changed everything? Well, Katrina changed it back.
