Why report this as a bad thing?  Yes, the pace has slowed--but we should be reporting that this is still way better than the post bubble Bush years.  That hours worked has increased.  That incomes have gone up.  That nobody forecast in 2008 that 2012 would be this good.  That congress has blocked any fiscal incentives.  Shit, we're watching too much FOXNEWS and throwing a damper on an exceptional performance given the obstructionist House.

      Don't think that's a winner.

Better to stay focused on destroying Mitt Romney and making him unacceptable as president.

"Tepid job creation", "weaker than expected", etc

This is what the common folk are going to see, Fox News viewer or not.

Because it is not just about the us v. them story of politics.

It's about too many people in this country undergoing severe hardship.  If you look at the unemployment figures of the last three recessions, you'll find that the story is also about the decreasing resilience of our economy to provide jobs during GDP recoveries.  Jobs aren't recovering as fast as GDP because this is part of the decades long income/wealth inequality injustice.

Even though some jobs have been recovered, the number of jobs we are still "missing" due to this recession is still larger than the depth of unemployment in 8 of the 10 previous recessions.  We don't call this the Great Recession for nothing.

Under the present Republican restraints, this is as good as it can get.  Take the average monthly increase in employment throughout the whole Bush debacle, I doubt he averaged over 100,000 jobs created.  This political messaging--Americans are ignorant to the effects of Reaganomics and to "success" it had.  Ronnie wasn't a saint for the masses--more like the devil.  And after 30 years, inequality has lessened the demand for workers--who coulda known?

...and weak when it's weak. This is a weak report. Yep, it's better than it was and Republicans have been obstructionists. I have reported that to, many, many times.  But I don't spin this stuff.

For the record, I did report in this piece that incomes have gone up. And that they haven't kept up with inflation.
