    ...from "Politics and the English Language".

    Several of his particular peeves were more redundant grammar (such as the "not un-" construction), but he also had criticisms for dead metaphors — & confusion of the meaning of question-begging threatens to make it just that.

    Indeed, much as in your post, among his suggestions was (my paraphrase) turning the incorrect usage into an instant punchline.

    Tell Congress: DON'T BREAK THE INTERNET! Fight CISPA!
