  •  I really don't care what incumbents think. (2+ / 0-)

And ideally I think they should have no say in how districts are drawn.

As far as losing all three in a bad year, yeah, that could happen.  I really think New Mexico is trending our way, though, so I felt more comfortable doing it.

    •  Oh I agree with you about incumbents... (0+ / 0-)

That really was more of an aside than anything else.

By the way, I tried to draw your map, are you sure about your numbers for the New Mexico map? Because I just drew the NM-02 district lines, and I'm coming up with it as Obama 55%, Dems 52.3%.

      •  Yep, I'm sure. (0+ / 0-)

It's 53.3% and 50.5%, respectively.  Unfortunately.  I wish I could say it was better.

I think you're using outdated partisan numbers from DRA, I just checked it out, and it looks like the elections numbers from your NM-02 and NM-03 aren't accurate (try to use DRA's first option instead of the second option).

Just a quick glance shows that votes are being under-counted in Santa Fe and Taos (which, I assume is what's happening in other parts of the state, since NM-01 seems to be largely accurate).

I've updated the figures.  Unfortunately, it also dropped the Obama %age for the other districts, but also raised the Dem average for each, too.
