    We went for a walk along the beach at Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge (on the Olympic Peninsula, WA) yesterday.  
    Here's what we saw in under 3 miles of walking:

    Canada Goose - Branta canadensis
    Lesser Scaup - Aythya affinis    
    Surf Scoter - Melanitta perspicillata    
    Black Scoter - Melanitta americana    
    Bufflehead - Bucephala albeola    
    Common Goldeneye - Bucephala clangula    
    Common Loon - Gavia immer    
    Horned Grebe - Podiceps auritus  
    Pelagic Cormorant - Phalacrocorax pelagicus    
    Great Blue Heron - Ardea herodias    
    Bald Eagle - Haliaeetus leucocephalus  
    Glaucous-winged Gull - Larus glaucescens  
    Caspian Tern - Hydroprogne caspia    Dungeness NWR    
    Common Raven - Corvus corax
