    The story of the unions should be one of the most important units in US History courses in high schools. Sadly, this is not the case. The people who came before us, and who fought and died for our rights as workers, these people must be remembered.

    Teaching labor history is vitally important to saving what is left of our democratic form of government.

    Thank you for this reminder.

    Thank you to all the people in Colorado and Illinois and West Virginia and throughout the US who fought a courageous battle for the workers of this country. Let us remember them always.

      Have to admit the miner's have always been my favorite union in labor history. Loved them before, but esp loved them after I had the wonderful opportunity to spend a week at Camp Solidarity during the Pittston Strike.

      They can teach all of us the real meaning of

      Solidarity!
