  •  Our Service club purchased a professional grill (3+ / 0-)

    for the courtyard of our local Ronald McDonald House and keep it supplied with cooking gas.  In the freezers of the refrigerators furnished for families we keep a supply for frozen burgers. Families staying long-term at this Ronald McDonald house have expressed appreciation.

      back in.  When I stayed there different groups would come in and cook dinner for those who were there too.  You can't always be there at dinner time so I bet having a grill with some burgers available is a wonderful addition.  When you are going through that kind of hospital healthcare stress there is always too much available that is a carb, and you grab and go, but protein helps you stay emotionally more stable.  Carbs burn too hot, and only veges don't cut it for some of us when under great stress.  My husband grinds proteins to dust when we are doing surgery and hospital stays with our son, and with too many carbs I can meltdown.
