  •  Maybe to make an elected "representative" aware... (7+ / 0-)

that she can't just spew lies with total impunity?  Maybe to educate her or her staff?

Maybe because as a citizen in a democracy complaining among ourselves about our representatives' failures to represent their constituents will make little to no difference, while taking our factual disagreements directly to those representatives via their staff has at least a tiny possibility of making someone--if only a staff volunteer--see that the representative is wrong.

But, it is a free country and we are all entitled to our opinions and to making our own decisions about whether or not we want to contact our elected public servants.

I'm all for publicizing Foxx's idiocy, but talking to her, or her staff, is a complete waste of time and effort.

I'm not saying Do Nothing, I'm saying talking to Virginia Foxx is like talking to a kitchen table...

Organizing in her district, on the other hand....

Also, I'm not saying that is the only thing to do, either.  In addition to calling her office, contacting state and local newspapers and reporters, citing what Foxx's lies, and then telling them the facts--and asking them why they are not reporting what Foxx is saying, and then reporting what the facts really are can't hurt.

Yes, of course organizing her district is vital.  And along with that, getting the facts out about Foxx's lies and how they hurt the economic lives of her constituents can't hurt.
