  •  We pulled our son out of school in 3rd grade, too. (11+ / 0-)

    He'd get upset and want to hide, but that wasn't allowed. Once in 2nd grade he really got in trouble for hiding in the classroom during recess. All the teachers went into that classroom to eat lunch and chat. My son was in trouble because of what the teachers might have said in confidence, which was not his intent. He just didn't want to get bullied on the playground.

    We never sent our son back to school. In our very red county, I just didn't feel that they could guarantee his safety.
