    AGAIN!

over her "early Birthday present" remark!?

    WTF is wrong with us!?

Irrespective of HOW one views this comment of hers, or this 'tempest in a teapot' -- one thing is clear -- if we focus on such abject stupidity, we waste an enormous amount of time on shit that virtually NO ONE CARES ABOUT - except as a DC/politico circle jerk

There is a tonne to attack Romney on ... and this is just so much wasted time

    •  It wasn't wise to try to justify (11+ / 0-)

Rosen's statement. I don't think diaries here that did that were helpful. But this is different. This is Mrs. Romney exposing her hurt at the remark as entirely false. In fact she's gleeful. The Romney commit another unforced error.

      Justice for Trayvon.

the longer that we distract ourselves with this absurdity

So she is 'gleeful' - who the fuck cares!!!!  If I was on "Team Romney" I would be thrilled beyond belief that we are sitting around jerking ourselves off over this - leaving Mitt to continue to erase his etch a sketch in preparation of the general

Again, Romney is an incredibly vulnerable candidate for so many reasons

But THIS diary about Ann Romney's remarks - talk about unproductive -- AT BEST!!!! ... Want to know why average people disengage from politics - among other reasons, THIS diary is a perfect example

... their opinions, and therefore their votes, on comparatively insignificant issues.  A friend's wife voted for Bush because she found Teresa Heinz Kerry to be obnoxious (jaw dropping, i know).

Like it or not, this stuff matters.

Suprise! .. Americans are fucking stupid! - this ain't breaking news.

We are, without ANY doubt - a dysfunctional electorate - and the government that we get reflects that perfectly.

    •  Here's why it matters: JOBS. (0+ / 0-)

The economy was put into a tailspin by GWB and a culture of deregulation. The 2010 House was elected by promising Jobs Jobs Jobs and they have produced how many jobs bills?  Right.

Now the GOP nominee is a guy who "likes firing people," who has a history of firing a lot of people. When it's mentioned that his wife is perhaps a little out of touch with women who struggle, it turns out that she isn't outraged(as she appeared to be) but mocking the whole situation.

Americans are hurting -- deeply. The GOP has been too obsessed with its War on Women to do a darn thing about it. So they give us a woman doesnt empathize but who mocks our suffering.

      This DOES matter.
