I have many wonderful memories of dark sweet cherries, blueberries and Macintosh apples from my years as a Michigan resident. I always look for Michigan blueberries here in the supermarkets in the summer to freeze and make into jam.

I am adding my voice to those supporting help for the orchardists who were severly impacted this year due to the prolonged unseasonably warm weather followed by a cold snap -- in Michigan and wherever else this occurred.
