    contradict, since they measure different things.

    Obama's 45% doesn't like Romney. No surprise there. Romney picks up additional unfavorability from Republicans who haven't quite reached the "acceptance" phase of the grieving process. But that's meaningless, since they'll still vote for him in November.

    In a head-to-head election, it matters which candidate voters like more, not whether they each pass a threshold of likability.

        results from the national polls. Romney +2 nationally would be a 9% swing compared to 2008. I haven't seen a poll in a swing state that gives Romney anything more than a 3-4% swing, and those are the outliers.
