      Postal service in many countries (e.g. Germany, Seden etc.) is private and it works fine.

      •  Germany is about the same size as (0+ / 0-)

        Montana. Sweden? California. If you don't think that matters, try driving across those states and look at your gasoline bill. Then drive across our country and do the same.

        •  Well, USPS managed to operate without subsidies (0+ / 0-)

          for years. So it is possible. Recent drop in mail volume and the pension issue created its deficits.
