  •  How am I not making a case for marriage? (0+ / 0-)

Forgive me for not having read your earlier diary, which predates my TU status by at least two years.  In addition, this is not a paper about marriage equality (I take the case for it as being given), it's a paper about two different sets of claims that marriage is in trouble, one (which says that marriage equality is WRONG) which makes no sense and one from what constitutes the women's movement today that does make sense.

    •  Well, if it makes it any clearer, (0+ / 0-)

I'm talking about marriage in general, not gay marriage, and what I disagree with is the second case, which doesn't make much sense as far as I am concerned.  Also, it's perfectly alright that you didn't read my diary, even if you weren't on Daily Kos then; nobody reads everything on this site (I'd go nuts if I read everything here).

      •  fair enough (0+ / 0-)

I needed something to counterbalance the idiocy and bigotry that is NOM, and the article seemed to supply me with some real issues. The second part is admittedly weaker than the first part, but I think I can probably sell it, especially if I'm running out of time.
