  •  If you don't see a big difference between (0+ / 0-)

the 111th congress and the 112th congress, I don't think there is any point in a discussion. By and large, our losses weren't from the liberal members in 2010.

to what the last congress gave us with their majorities.

From my point of view, the major difference at the moment is the pace of decline. Dems are going to make things worse slower than republicans. If that's enough for you, go for it. Donate, campaign, vote, etc. It is not NEARLY enough for me.

      •  I actually like to see progressive laws passed (0+ / 0-)

You know, DADT repeal, Stimulus, Financial reform, Healthcare reform, ETC. These aren't nothing bills. They effect EVERYONE, and do so in an incredibly positive way overall.

The 111th was the greatest congress in the last 20 years. The 112th is in many ways the worst.
The difference is Chet Edwards, and Gene Taylor, and Chris Carney, and so on.

I understand getting rid of conservadems from democratic districts. Artur Davis was terrible, and I'm glad he is gone.

I think the bad GREATLY outweighed the good. I follow the 51% rule for my personal voting. I need to approve of 51% of what you're doing. The last congress was not even close to that.

I also don't think much of a stimulus that included huge tax cuts, extension of the bush tax cuts that went along with DADT repeal, romney style healthcare reform (I was, and still am, on the kill the bill with no public option side), the joke of reform that was dodd-frank, drone strikes on us citizens and civilians in general in countries where we aren't even officially at war, surveillance state issues, whistle blower prosecutions, lack of torture and banking prosecutions, and I could go on and on and on and on. I think the last 3+ years has been a shit sandwich.

I'm sorry but I think very, very little of most of those "accomplishments".

And if that last congress is the best we can do with the overwhelming majorities we delivered, then I think my apathy towards voting for any of these people is completely warranted. I would absolutely vote for a progressive if their was one on my ballot, but there won't be.

shills like Obama and his wattered down Rethuglican message. As a bought and paid for commodity of the banskters Obama and his cronies are nothing but woll over the eyes of the 99%. You call quince a purity troll and I say pull the 1%er wool off your eyes and see the truth and join us in starting the 99%er/Green Part/Ralph Nader takedown of the 1%ers among the Rethuglicans and the corporatist Dimmocrats.
