    They are slow and deliberate.  Not an "agility breed" for sure.  They're still probably faster than most humans when they want to be.  They are very loyal and like to stick to close and protect their "charge" which would be you.  

    Hector also might be hearing impaired.  Mastiffs, boxers and bull terriers have a high incidence of unilateral deafness.  This is often related to pigment.  The lighter the dog the greater the liklihood of deafness.  He has a beautiful brindle coat though.
