Electing Obama didn't change shit & re-electing him will change even less.

The Democratic Party needs to change.  If it doesn't change, it isn't worthy of support.

It has some good individuals who merit support.  But as an organization it is an enemy of working people.

Worse, it pretends to be other wise.

It just didn't change enough to suit the far left, so now in order to "punish" the Democrats for not going left enough, the far left is going to embrace policies that will wind up putting an administration in place that will go even further right than Bush; supporting the Republicans, even and especially if only by default.

This "punishment" strategy is a complete and utter failure, and a direct cause of the Democratic party's rightward shift.

But instead of realizing what a failure it is, and adjusting their expectations and tactics accordingly, the left doubles down on their strategy again and again, and then has the nerve to blame everybody but themselves for the completely predictable results.

And what drives me up a wall is it would take so little (other than time) to get a progressive Congress.  But, no- the left insists on sticking with the "punishment" strategy, confident that "This time it'll work!  This time we'll show em!"

What was it Einstein called repeatedly doing the exact same flippin thing and expecting different results, again?

"The future of man is not one billion of us fighting over limited resources on a soon-to-be dead planet. . .I won't go back into the cave for anyone."

I continue to vote for Dems when they earn my vote.  However, when they contine GOP policies, they don't get my vote.  Maybe if we just felate them continually like you suggest, things will change.  I doubt it, because labor has taken this route for years.  And what did they get?  NAFTA, WTO, brought by Clinton.  Obama, who did nothing for card-check.

        What saps.
