    I listened to an insurance executive ponder if his company would be required to renew E & O insurance for a person who had transitioned in a speech.   I commented to my colleagues that he was a bigot.   They were shocked at first,  and I pointed out he referred to people in the profession as lady "title" or just "title" if male, the person transitioned to female.   He clearly had gender issues.  The person was no more likely to commit malpractice because of sexual identification than not.  The only risk was that the person would be a target of  suit by other bigots unrelated to their professional level of care.  That should never be a consideration by an insurance company.
