    I will refrain from speculating in deference to your decision making process, even though I'm much more intrigued now.  Well, good luck to your MIL assuming that is what I should be wishing for her run.

      I'm kind of in the same boat.  My family knows George Holding (he's running for NC-13) and he is very Republican and super anti-gay.  He even has an anti-gay radio ad.  The Democrat is expected to lose anyway, so is it bad if I vote for Mr. Holding in November?  I guess he has to make it through the primary first.

        is it because you know him?  I have voted for people who were pretty anti-gay before because they were the least bad option available at the time, but I would not generally simply because I know someone.
