    they are not really "Christians".

    If Jesus was the Messiah, he ended the age of the OT. They should only be looking at that as historical, and mostly tribal, not as currently valid doctrine.

    Jesus spoke of the parts of the OT that were still relevent, like the Ten Commandments, in his main teaching at the Sermen on the Mount, but said that all they really needed was the Golden Rule.

      This crackpot theory pretends that Jesus' teachings, and the 'new covenant', wouldn't go into effect until <trigger_event>;  until then, Old Testament (Mosaic) law rules.

      Yes, this lets them TOTALLY off the hook (in their own eyes) from all that love-one-another bullshit...and lets them fully embrace themselves as patriarchs with full moral authority to lay it down for the sinners.

      This collapses further into silliness w/ the pre-millennialists and the post-millennialists - or whether <trigger_event> occurs before or after Jesus returns.  Pre-millennialists are big into prophecy.
