David is more critical of Obama than I am.

I have overlap with both David's and your views at times.  Somewhere in between.  :-)

I guess on some of this, I disagree with David because I don't say the things he does and I do say the things I do.

I really am fine with Obama, and David really is not.  But David's criticisms are consistent going back for years.  I don't have any problem with the raid to kill OBL, and David does.  I understand where he's coming from, but don't agree.

In some ways, I am willing to bend for coalitions for overall progress (as I see it) that I think is important, and David does not bend what he sees as principles.  Different people; different personalities.

    Anyway, take care.

I'm from the Elizabeth Warren and Darcy Burner Wing of the Democratic Party!

I do not think david is consistent, and I think he is a terrible hypocrite.

Every once in a while he muttered an exceedingly muted criticism of John Edwards, but almost never, and never was it strong.

From my perspective, he mostly ignored (and sometimes supported) much of JRE's past and current positions regarding foreign policy.

By contrast, he viciously bashes Obama on these issues on a near daily basis. Issues for which there is little ground between Obama and Edwards. To me, that is the height of hypocrisy, and it implies david's newfound vehement opposition to such things has more to do with who is saying things than the actual positions themselves.

But like I said, we will have to agree to disagree.
