    I am and would be happy to be helpful in whatever ways possible. I'd love to know about what makes a difference. Certainly we should be continuing to fund research to figure out what makes a difference. And we should ensure that every child has access to people who will help him or her if something bad happens.

    There is some evidence that participation in childhood sexual abuse prevention programs (good touch-bad touch) decreases the frequency of sexual abuse.  (See, e.g., http://www.sciencedirect.com/...) Increased funding for and access to those sorts of programs makes sense - let's certainly invest in what works.

    Increased enforcement is also a fairly big deal, as are evidence-based approaches to sentencing and sex offender registries.

    But please let me know if there are other things we should be focused on that would make a difference - politically or culturally.
