    Republicans wish to dismantle large sections of the Federal Government to do two things:
    + move the distribution of cash wealth from Federal, "public" use to the private sector (they assume GDP will remain constant and grow per historic norms if they do this, which we can now see is stupidly wrong), and
    + enrich the economic "winners" that support them when they accomplish this transfer of cash flows.

    It's bone-headed, short term "penny wise, dollar foolish" tinkle-down economics, and more ideological than analytically proven, sound economics. But no one has ever accused a Republican or Corporate CEO of caring for the common good (or even the health of their businesses) over the long term.

    It's all about "give me mine now, and screw everyone else."
