  •  Get rid of the Barbie dolls! (23+ / 0-)

CNN has dedicated itself to giving on-air employment to all the empty-headed females not quite bitchy enough for Fox. The only requirement seems to be really nice hair.

They used to have Christiane Amanpour, for heavens sake! Now we have Erin Burnett reading all the news you can without mussing your hair or makeup.

I thought there was hope when they fired Rick Sanchez. I wouldn't mind a Latino reporter, mind you. I wouldn't even care if he had an accent. But I do want him or her to have at least two brain cells to rub together. Rick Sanchez was embarrassing village idiots everywhere.

I can't believe they hired Piers Morgan, whose last gig was being a judge on one of Simon Cowal's multitude of talent shows in Britain. And when the Murdoch phone scandal broke, CNN should have taken him off the air. He was at least waist deep in that scandal, if not all the way to the top of his oh-so-smarmy head.

Finally, they need to sit down and do a grownup evaluation of their use of graphics. CNN seems to have a 12-year-old running their art department. They need to ask themselves, does this graphic make anything clearer? Does it convey information? But no, they mostly seem to be interested in bling. Holograms, magic walls, on and on. It's as vapid as it gets.

Wealth doesn't trickle down -- it rises up.

As of 02/22/2012 in Washington State pharmacists can exercise their "religious freedom" by denying women access to Plan B because the judge thinks there aren't any bigots in this state.

    •  Rick Sanchez did some good stuff (7+ / 0-)

like taking on the Palins' involvement in the Alaska Independence Party when the other networks wouldn't touch it.  He even quoted the mid-show phone calls he was getting to drop the story, from people like (he implied) Todd Palin himself.

The problem is, though, you're right, Sanchez had cajones and good intentions but was short on brain cells.  CNN could use a central personality with Anderson Cooper's intelligence and Rick Sanchez's spine.  They basically need an anti-Blitzer.

When you celebrate ignorance and boo education you don't get to cry when I call you a moron.--MinistryofTruth
