    percent was WAY off (should be 0.5%, ugh!).

    So maybe that would have an impact.

    OTOH, if you look at Wikipedia's stats exports increased by about 350 million tons a year in the past few years w/o major price strain - the point being that their are countries out there with consider excess capacity.

    The bottom line is that on a global climate change scale, this problem has to be addressed from the demand, not the supply side.

      Could not agree more.

      I just see the supply side as a potential way to help people think more about the demand side.

        one should be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

        I'm not quite sure what that means (heck, I know I don't have the wherewithal to do that literally) but I think it is meant to convey the idea that more than one thing can be protested at one time.

        But some days I'm just so tired I can't work up a good amount of outrage about multiple issues (like any good progressive should be able to do) so I have to be mighty selective about what I get pissed about . . . . and today is one of those days, hence my focus on the demand side.
