were all afraid Perry was going to blast out of the state to the top of the field and be the next George W Bush.  It cracked me up but they were genuinely skeptical of my hilarity.  They really thought the country was going to re-Bush.

Of course, there IS that threat, but as I told them last year, it would have to come in a different package to have a chance.  I always knew it was going to be Mitt playing anything to everyone in the campaign and ultimately perceived as a 'moderate' to the mushy middle.  Which is what makes him a threat.  But in office, in effect, he'd pretty much be W's third term.

Perry had as much chance as Spongebob Squarepants or Herman Cain of becoming the next president.

Funny how ever Republican in Texas has politely asked him not to show up to their campaign events.

I'll have Texas blue by the next election cycle, but a shade of blue that the populists from the Guadalupe valley would recognize as that of the blue bonnet.

After all, leftist populism did start here.

      Now watch this drive.

Texas is Texas, you know. The second you think you got it figured out, it will switch on you. Just ask Rick Perry in 2012.

Have been anxiously waiting for you guys, the Germam liberals from the Hill Country, the Austin hippies and Houston effets, the Dallas blue-collars and populist East Texans to get it together. We can do this thing. We will get to the one million unregistered Texicans, we will get the Texican vote out in November.

As Jon Stewart would say "Boom!" (with a clenched fist).

I am now proper and home (Hill Country). Brazoria is not a place you return to. You can only leave where Texas began.

You are gonna love the stunts I am about to pull, but I am about to leave here.

But remember you this, mi hermano, always I will be pinche tejano.
