I just have to say, this was a very beautiful diary you wrote. Gave me goosebumps.

I so loved your promise and commitment to Tom Barrett, as I would have loved the same to ANY democratic candidate that won this primary.

But, I must say, here's something that impresses me about Tom Barrett.  He's taking a BIG risk here.  A risk of being a two time loser to Scott Walker.  Some will say it's his ego leading him, and yes, there is NO politician without a healthy ego, basic demand of the job.

But, even politicians have limits, hurts and points they cannot return from, not to mention better options.  We see this with Russ Fiengold, no diss intended.  And frankly, Wisconsin needed Tom Barrett to answer the call, despite his last defeat. Polls were pretty clear that no one else had the name recognition or trust to give us our best chance against Walker.

I recently heard Tom Barrett on Ed's radio show.  I was very impressed. Maybe this was not the Tom Barrett that Wisconsin Democrats didn't get all that enthused about in 2010.  Perhaps I heard the Tom Barrett who has found a new voice, who has evolved to meet the more dire circumstances of Wisconsin today.

But all I can say, is that from what I heard, I feel like the Wisconsin recall is in very good hands with Tom Barrett.

And Oh, dear God, I hope and pray that Wisconsin Democrats will pull out that can of Whoop Ass on June 5th.
There are SO MANY people here who have worked SO HARD for this, and I so admire each and every one of them, including you, Giles.

LOL, I think I'm going to have to put a pillow over my head and hide out on June 5th, the way one does watching a very scary movie.  I just don't know how I'll be able to stand it. :)
