After all, NC just voted to ban any marriage that does not have a man and woman in it.

    •  Worse than that. And not good for Rs. (2+ / 0-)

Apparently, the NC version penalizes ALL non marriage relationships, including those of any combination who live together without the state license. No common law marriages and such will have any legally enforceable rights at all, no matter who is in them. I predict this little peculiarity of drafting will be extremely expensive for Rs once somebody figures it out and starts enforcing it. A lot more people than allegedly intended are going to be hit by this one and pols will probably hear from all of them.

in a Republican Presidential primary where perhaps one quarter of registered voters cast their ballots.

I have serious doubts as to whether this amendment could have been passed in November when the entire electorate will be voting.

Nevertheless, it is a blow to the LGTB community. And it will cause heartbreak and anguish until it is finally overturned.

out of it, by resolving to overcome it.
Getting Foxx out is one good way to do that.
Lots of setbacks in life can turn into positives, but it takes willpower and perseverance.

        I'd rather have a buntle afrota-me than a frottle a bunta-me.
