  •  Bon Weekend, all my family and friends! (7+ / 0-)

How are all of you? It's a warm, sunny day out here, temps  in the sixties and with enough sun on the land to lure Tom out from the sofa and out the front door to bask in a ray of sunshine. He's been missing his brother quite a bit. The first weekend Huck (Pest) was gone, Tom wandered the house looking for him and meowing. Poor guy. It's hard to lose your brother, someone from whom you had never once been separated.

There ought to be a specific color called "spring green" to describe the green of sun shining through the big leaf maple leaves or the little leaves on the vine maple. When I see colors that purport to be similar, there is often much too much yellow in them. It's a delicate green, and seems like a color every person of any ethnicity would look great in.

I have to get things together to send out flyers to the delegates to the Congressional District caucus next Sunday, so I'm working hard on that, and I am up for an NFTT diary tomorrow sometime as well. Not to mention, we have game this weekend, both days, and Charles has to go down to Lacey and pick up poor Pest's ashes from the vet. We got a sympathy card yesterday from the vet. She'd included a lovely memento mori: three cards with ink impressions of his feet. That set me to bawling. I miss that cat so much!

Organ donors save lives! A donor's kidney gave me my life back on 02/18/11; he lives on in me. Please talk with your family about your wish to donate.

Why are war casualty counts "American troops" and "others" but never "human beings"?
