are represented in your list. We have our work cut out for us.

It is clear from demographics and polling that we have reached a tipping point on LGBT rights that even the President acknowledges, but that does not mean that we are tipping over all at once and all the way. Resistance will fall off only gradually.

There is still vehement resistance to every Progressive achievement of the last two centuries, going back to the Civil War, and even to Hamilton's program of public works (infrastructure) in the Washington Administration. Even the Bill of Rights, and the existence of a Federal government with authority over the states.

Although the Republican establishment realizes that this is a losing issue, that only makes the crazies double down, and get louder, nastier, and more vicious. As they have done, over and over, in the face of every advance we have made.

It is in the nature of politics that changes occur almost as soon as possible, that is, when their is either a majority for it among the population, or when courts can overrule popular majorities that can no longer throw them off the bench. (Impeach Earl Warren, anybody?) It is therefore in the nature of politics that the arguments will continue for decades after the matter has been settled.

we don't need new pro-equality candidates in, for example, Vermont or Rhode Island. And I would strongly urge any candidate in Idaho, Utah, Montana etc. to quietly oppose it (LeFavour would fit in the middle of the Progressive Caucus. She isn't gonna win. Jimmy Farris has a better chance in ID-01.)

-8.88, -4.21 Why does the most beautiful place in the world (Idaho Panhandle) have to get dumped with thousands of Cali GOP doofuses?
