I don’t think there has been a single serious third party that has been centrist.

The rightwing third parties have screwed things up for conservatives, while the leftwing third parties have screwed things up for the liberals (at least in terms of how they affected the Presidential vote).

But the angle said to them, "Do not be Alfred. A sailor has been born to you"

    •  Actually, (6+ / 0-)

The Connecticut for Lieberman Party started out as a vehicle for Joe to get elected.

Joe forgot to join, and  it was then taken over by a visionary liberal (Dr. John Orman).

It was transported here at DKos all over the blogosphere  and became the cream of snark. Progressives loved it.

is remotely "centrist." I know the media has spun Jon Huntsman that way, but he's a far-right conservative. He only seems "moderate" due to the insane company he keeps.

Personally, I think Bernie Sander is a terrific coice — BECAUSE he is not "centrist" by any standard.

Take the "Can't(or)" out of Congress. Support E. Wayne Powell in Va-07. http://www.ewaynepowell.com/
