    Among African American voters is only about 100 to 120 each week, so you'll see larger-than-normal fluctuations among that sub-group. (For instance, this week it's 87-11 Obama among black voters. I think the numbers you are citing are from the week before.) If you aggregate a few polls together, though, the results will make a lot more sense.

      87-11 is last week.  Even 11 for Romney is way too much.  I don't really see Obama doing worse than 92-93 % of the African American vote.  87 is close enough, but in the 70's? That's just absurd.

        My bad - I got the weeks mixed up. Too many tabs open. I agree that 87-11 is unlikely, but for whatever reason, this sort of thing tends to show up in a lot of PPP's polling... and Tom Jensen himself is quick to point it out. (For instance, his VA-Sen polling shows George Allen regularly pulling far more African Americans than seems plausible.)
