    Don't count on it. Slicker than Scalia, maybe. Less obvious. But Scalia is one smart bastard.

      Many confuse flippancy and articulateness with intellect.  Not than any of them are dummies, of course.

      What is a moderate interpretation of the text? Halfway between what it really means and what you'd like it to mean?
      I see arrogance and hubris there, not intellect.  Maybe it's partisan blinders, I dunno.  I find Kennedy's opinions more compelling, but maybe that's because he's less of a wingnut.  And of course none of them can touch Stevens.  There's a reason the conservative-but-more-honest-than-most-politicans Gerald Ford was so proud of his nomination.
