  •  I should add that in my opinion, Bush v Gore (9+ / 0-)

    usurped the constitutional process of the House of Representatives of one vote per state to elect the president if an election and non majority of the electoral votes is not attained.

    The fact that the House of Representatives did not squawk about this usurpation of their constitutionally mandated power says a lot about the House of Representatives.  They should have impeached the lot of those who voted with the majority for violating the constitution.

    Republicans are like alligators. All mouth and no ears.

      tried to follow the constitution and challenge the outcome, but a supine Senate (and Al Gore himself) refused to lend them support.  The whole Democratic party was paralyzed by the fear of a "constitutional crisis".  As if the usurpation of the Florida's Supreme Court's authority were not in itself a constitutional crisis.
