  •  moanin' all. (12+ / 0-)

it's windy here cx?  i just had lee out for a play session and the wind is still.  guess i missed it.  dangit, i missed it!

we both got really hot and sweaty.  lee had a blast though and i came in and took pain meds LOL.  i can't wait for the new pain medication to show up in my mail.

off to finish filling out health record forms for the med school to get my records transferred to someone closer than dallas.  i know the med school is best, but, driving to dallas leaves me in such a rotten mood that it makes the tests they do show odd and paradoxical results.

i'll try to stop by later.

thanks for hosting dan!  hope you're having a great day!

hope everyone is having a great day!

    •  yep it is windy (7+ / 0-)

you might be blocked by it?

saw over the weekend where some local loser town to your south wanted to join your town and that idea got kicked to the curb.

don't be letting that riff-raff in!

      •  it was richland hills (6+ / 0-)

that wanted to join north richland  hills.  heck, i wouldn't join north richland hills and i live here.  it's ruled with an iron fist by a republican and his posse.

NRH doesn't like RH because they advocate public transportation and here in NRH, my dear it is Just Not Done. everyone must have an automobile in order to be the "right kind" of resident.  there's (gasp) a trinity railway/dart station in richland hills!  it is also possible to summon FW busses for special purposes to richland hills.  this too, is just not done as, of course, the wrong kind of person rides those buses.  i'm sure you know all this cx, it's more for the enjoyment of others that i write it.  LOL.

i've ordered  more republicans off my property this primary season than ever.  no dems running in any of the races.  bonds up, but, i'm not voting for any of them.

the ron paul advocate across the street put up his "Paul 2008" signs again.  i've been fantasizing about replacing them with "paul 2012" signs just to see how long it would take for him to notice, but i can't bring myself to get any paul signs.  it will remain a fantasy unless i get particularly stupid and have a hankering to bathe in bleach for a week after touching one of those signs. :^0

do you get the feeling i'm not happy with this particular sprawl of a suburb? ;-p

    •  Obviously I don't get into GUS very often... (7+ / 0-)

      WELCOME BACK!    :o)

JVolvo's Mom is still smoke free - almost 3 years now.  Woo Hoo!

    •  Hi labwitchy (6+ / 0-)

I have had a pretty good day. A 20 mile bike ride earlier, lunch (leftover General Tso for me and gushy Tuna Feast for the cats) and some quiet cat nap time with my bestest furry friends.

I still have the yard to mow, but that won't take more than an hour, and after 5P the heat of the day has peaked and most of the yard is in shade.

I'm so happy to see you and read you here again :-)

Glad you had the chance to get out with Miss Lee and she at least had a blast. Sounds like you did too, maybe?

Hope and wish your day has been as free from pain as possible.

      •  well, still have the mysterious fever. (7+ / 0-)

it makes an appearance at the same time of day every day and leaves at about 8 am so i have a couple of hours to enjoy.  i know what time it shows up so i try to get up very early in order to get things done before it gets out of hand.  heck, i'm even combing my hair, wearing makeup again, and (flumpty's going to love this) wearing scents.

thank you, you're right, we did both have fun.  miss lee doesn't like the heat any more than i.  her black fur just soaks it up and it makes her tired and sleepy, but she doesn't want to sleep in the sun.  too hot for her.  i know, from research, that if i'm uncomfortable with the weather so is my dog since we spend a lot of time in the temperature controlled big kennel (house).

she can hardly wait to get in the pool though.  i have to take her to petsmart for a life jacket.  she swims wonderfully, but with one of those jackets she can be tethered to a very long lead and controlled or helped if need be.  torre will also begin his pool training.  he'll use Miss Dee's (maysherestinpeace) jacket.  it's too big for Miss Lee.

have a new pain doc, so, hopefully, within the next few weeks all the new meds (one is being compounded) will kick in.  also, will be starting a new regimen of physical therapy next week.  that's usually my answer to "you need surgery" LOL.

so happy to hear about your bike riding!  i know it makes you very happy and therefore makes us all happy.

all in all, i'm learning to live better with the pain and, like i said, the new pain doc might even work out.  we'll see.
