  •  So insulated that he thinks this is "peacetime" (14+ / 0-)

I sure wish the vets, active duty, and military families of Indiana would take the time to personally remind this mindless, ignorant man that we are still at war.

I just posted on his FB page to register -- however temporarily -- my discontent. Unfortunately, when I rewrote a phrase I forgot to rearrange the grammar, so it contains a quite egregious error that makes me sound like a hick, but it will be gone very soon, I'm sure.

How very interesting that the Governor is blaming President Obama for creating a debt bomb the Gov has characterized as "the biggest peacetime crisis we may have ever faced". Get that: peacetime. The man who would be Rmoney's veep candidate is so insulated from us lowly commoners that he has forgotten the men and women of our armed forces are still fighting in Afghanistan. I find no indication that any of his daughters is a member of the military. This is DEFINITELY the thoughtful, mindful, informed statesman we need seconding a vulture capitalist President. Y'all have a nice day. [Comment scrubbed by gov's staffers in 3... 2... 1...]

We have the equivalent in manpower of around seven divisions there (maybe as high as ten, depending on how you count them), about the size of an field army.  That's a war.

Nice how the Repubs forget around 90,000 American soldiers and several thousand allied NATO forces dodging IEDs and snipers every damn day of the week.

I grew up around a big bunch of WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans, most of whom voted Republican back the day.  This asshole's statement would have morphed them instantaneously into Dems in a heartbeat.

...page.  Not that the guy's page is a hive of activity or anything, but I'm still steamed at that "peacetime" crack.  For fuck's sake.....90,000 of our people over there....I'm gonna quit for the night, getting too angry...
