    Hi,

I would like someone who knows their history and law to clarify the comment by gerrilea.

This post points out that I probably made an erroneous statement "First Amendment Makes Protests Legal."

I think that I should have said, because of the first amendment, the government cannot block protests. Which is a way to restrict government actions.

There are other points made in the comment and the link to the Dodd report. I briefly looked at it. It seemed to be a strange document. Does anyone else know the history of that report?

    Thanks in advance,

    Don midwest

in 1953 through 1955, they were investigating Tax-exempt foundations and if they should be allowed to continue to have that status.

Norman Dodd was the lead investigator for that committee.
