      "Ironic" means "something that appears to be something other than what it is."

      But to your point (if I can figure it out): you haven't presented any evidence.  You've proffered anecdote and unsubstantiated assertions.  I need evidence that

      ...there are more bad, dishonest, and corrupt police officers than honest ones. Police are trained to lie, police are hired based on their lack of intelligence, crimes by police officers are treated less harshly than the same crime by an ordinary citizen, and are often ignored entirely.
      You haven't given me any.

      I'd be willing to agree that cops often get preferential treatment, but I'd also say that the flip side is sometimes true, too: dirty cops are hated by good cops.

      But to say that there are more bad cops than good ones?  Come on.  Show me some evidence that this is true.  That they're hired because they're stupid?  Come on.  That's just silly.
