Apparently Republican candidates, with the exception of Huntsman and Paul, could not conceive nor elucidate opinions that excluded the possibility of them (Perry, Bachman, Romney, Palin, Gingrich, Santorum, Cain) being the Presidential candidate – and eventual nominee.  Thus, they use attack lines that come back to haunt them and the Republican Party.

This is very much how George W. Bush governed.  He and his henchmen could not conceive the consequences to the federal deficit and debt after they enacted their tax cuts for the wealthy.

W & crew could not comprehend the logistics and complications of policing Middle-eastern countries after we conquered the Taliban or Saddam Hussein.

They speak as they govern – focused intently upon the here and now –with absolutely no allowance for a future that may not resemble the Randian Rose Garden they promise.

I'll put on my glasses.... and tell you how sweet your ass is. (w/ apologies to Señor Bega)
