of fruit juice. When times are tight, you ask yourself, "Do we really need a half gallon on apple juice and a half gallon of cranberry juice?"

The answer is: no. it's nice to have but not entirely necessary.

Sorry. But 50 million Americans are on freakin food stamps. Ask them if they give a rats ass about the space shuttle right now.

I'm glad that private industry is shouldering some of the burden right now. And the space shuttle needed to be paused. Maybe it'll come back one day. Maybe not. But right now we just don't need cranberry juice.

    •  No; Obama could not have done that without the (4+ / 0-)

cooperation of Congress, and congress was wanting to cut NASA entirely. Obama really saved the husk of a shell that NASA is now, though to what end no one knows at this point.

The diarist is on point, though, that this is both a good thing, and something the GOP should be cheering. But they can't, because they don't stand FOR anything. They only stand against anything that benefits anyone outside the 1% who are their paymasters.
